Acrylic, colored pencil, on Arches mounted on cradled board 24" x 24" x 2" 2021 Available On a warm, spring day during COVID-19, a mother and son went for a walk to rekindle their spirits. Such a bizarre time period, where even the simplest tasks required thought, preparation, and wearing a mask. At Two Rivers Park, they encountered people biking, kayaking, and hiking. For a moment, life seemed somewhat normal. At the end of the bridge, they came upon a bald man, covered in tattoos, walking the cutest dog named Winston. He was hot and drooling, but so happy to be out and about! His happy demeanor was contagious and brought them so much joy. Winston, a COVID delight! Haiku: Sweating in our masks, Winston’s smile reminded us, The worst is over. |
