This is Samantha; most people call her Sam. I was over the moon when she walked through my studio door with her dazzling red dress and shiny dancing shoes! I loved her soft flowing curls, radiating golden undertones, and captivating cheeks. She is a devoted nurse, the kind of friend you have for life, a proud half-South Korean and half-African American, and, last but certainly not least, a mesmerizing dancer. As we got acquainted, she shared that people label her as reserved, and she finds that fascinating because she performs in front of people often.
I played my favorite salsa music and asked her to forget I was there, to be one with the music. Her shoes kept getting caught in my painter's tarp, but that didn't stop her from zoning out and showing me her moves. I had such fun working to do justice to the beauty of her movement!
