Jake, formerly known as Flipper is a happy-go-lucky rescued mutt and my studio companion.

The first time we met he was very shaky with ribs clearly showing, lacking in self-confidence, and a BB pellet under his fur.

We soon discovered speed is one of his most defining traits. He marked his territory by running full tilt in big circles in the backyard and leaping like a deer at the sight of a squirrel. 

Understandably, he suffers badly from separation anxiety and when left alone has been known to eat grandma's couch. He copes by taking long walks and a daily dose of Prozac.
