Chose HopePastel, image transfer on board 22" x 28" 2015 Private Collection When I was thirty-four, my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and was later placed in hospice care. She loved pink and purple color combinations, as she felt they lifted her mood. As her condition progressed, she began to feel imprisoned in her own body but she never gave up hope. In this painting, I let her light shine while examining the direct and complex connection between one’s physical condition and psychological mood. |
