It was there we met our guardian angel, a man named Robert Saxon or as we called him, Mr. B. His small oil and gas investments were very successful, and he felt a duty to share his bounty with those less fortunate. Mr. B asked the principal of the high school to recommend families that were in need of help and, thankfully, we were recommended. After my mom found a job and, with Mr. B’s guidance, she was able to purchase a small home and car. He even helped us go to college! He was the most selfless, sweetest, kindest man I have ever met. Most importantly, he served as a father figure and helped me find a place to belong. |
